The shokz half-tour of the lake

An exceptional edition with an innovative route never before used on the half-lap of Lac d'Annecy

The Shokz demi tOur du lac, starting from Doussard, will cover between 50 and 60km, passing at an altitude of 1650m for a view that's as magical as ever!

In 2026, it will be the 15th edition of the adidas TERREX MaXi-Race (no edition in 2020 because of the Covid). For this 15th edition, the local authorities and organizers have worked together to offer you a unique course, better adapted to the changing weather conditions from year to year. Indeed, in recent years, hot weather has impacted on the Race , and thunderstorms at the end of the day have often forced us to switch to "fallback courses". So, in collaboration with local authorities and alpacists, we have redesigned the route 100%. The aim was to provide shaded areas during the hottest periods, and more easily secured areas at the end of the day. Of course, all the while retaining iconic sections with views of Mont-Blanc, the lake and the mountains!

This year, the tOur du lac will run in the opposite direction to previous editions, i.e. clockwise. This means that the Shokz Demi-tOur du lac will also run in the opposite direction. The last mountain to be climbed will be the Semnoz, with its 360° views (Mont Blanc, Tournette, Lac du Bourget, etc.).

Departure from Doussard: ATTENTION, timetables may change slightly before departure.

    • 8:00 am: Waves 1 (SAS elite) and (SAS 1 - Over 56 Betrail points) 
    • 8.07am: Wave 2 (SAS 2) - 52 to 55 Betrail points 
    • 8:14 am: Wave 3 (SAS 3) - 49 to 51 Betrail points 
    • 8:21 am: Wave 4 (SAS 4) - 45 to 48 Betrail points 
    • 8:28 am: Wave 5 (SAS 5) - 43 to 44 Betrail points

To get to the start, follow the signs on foot.

The SAS will open 20 minutes before the SAS departure time.

SASs were set up on October 31, based on the Betrail performance index you had at that time. There is no possibility of changing SAS, even if your Betrail index has risen or fallen since that day.

Your Race time will start when you cross the start line.
Time barriers are calculated on the start time of the last wave.
Failure to respect the SAS and/or start wave will result in sanctions, including disqualification from the Race as indicated in the regulations.

Hourly barriers calculated for an index between 43 and 45 Betrail points .

What is the "toggle" system?

  • To give you even more chance of finishing, we are implementing a "toggle" system.  
  • You've been training for months, but on the big day you're not feeling your best... We've got you covered and have put together some "shortcuts."
  • Depending on your schedule at this intersection, you will be redirected to a new, shorter route called a "bascule." This bascule system allows you to finish with a time penalty.
  • All individuals who took the switch will be reclassified behind those who completed the initial course in its entirety.
  • No Bib will be issued on the day of the Race.
  • Bib picked up the day before the Race Saturday, May 30).
  • One month before the Race, you must reserve your time slot on your personal space.
  • Collection point: MaXi-Village in the Marquisats parking lot (Annecy)

 

Retrait dossard :

  • Il est nécessaire de venir retirer son dossard en personne avec l’ensemble des justificatifs demandés dans le créneau réservé
    • mail de retrait des dossards comprenant votre horaire de retrait de dossard, votre numéro de dossard et écrit « dossier Validé : OUI ».
    • votre pièce d’identité (avec photo)
    • NB : pour les relais, le chef d’équipe peut récupérer le dossard de tous ses coéquipiers.
 
  • Si vous ne pouvez pas venir chercher votre dossard, vous avez, sur demande de dérogation, la possibilité de faire retirer ce dernier par une tierce personne en présentant un document spécifique (demande de dérogation à réaliser avant le 15 mai par mail à inscriptionmaxirace@gmail.com).
    • Dans cette demande de dérogation réalisée par mail, vous devrez justifier pourquoi vous ne pouvez pas être présent, indiquer vos informations (course, numéro de votre dossier, le nom de la personne qui récupérera votre dossard). 
    • Si votre demande est validée (généralement moins de 72h pour une réponse), Valérie vous enverra une fiche que vous devrez compléter 
    • Le jour et à l’heure de votre retrait de dossard, cette personne devra venir avec le document original (pas de copie), votre pièce d’identité (pas de copie) et sa pièce d’identité à l’entrée de la zone remise des dossards. Une personne du staff, vous demandera les documents, et nous conserverons le document de « procuration » manuscrit original.

 

 

Bib recovery: how does it work?

Afin de limiter une affluence et une concentration trop importante de public, nous avons mis en place des créneaux de retrait des dossards (réservation possible à partir de début mai, jusqu’au 22 mai).
Nous avons prévu 30% de places supplémentaires par rapport au nombre d’inscrits et nous avons doublé les plages horaires proposées par rapport aux éditions précédentes, afin de vous proposer une grande flexibilité dans le choix de votre créneau.

Please note the following information:

  • For each Race, several slots are available with limited numbers of places, so the earlier you make your choice, the more possibilities you'll have.
  • Tant qu’un créneau s’affiche c’est qu’il reste des places disponibles. Une fois que vous avez fait un choix PENSEZ A ENREGISTRER (en bas du formulaire) !!! Sinon votre choix ne sera pas validé !!!
  • Une fois que vous avez fait un choix, il est possible de le modifier avant la date limite de réponse (22 mai).
  • Because of the possibility of changing slots, it is possible that a full slot will be reopened, but the organization has no visibility on this.
  • For the Semnoz base camp, guides and assistants can access it via a MaXi-Car option (to be purchased via the online store) or by their own means (bike, car, etc.). New 100% private bus system, different from 2025.
  • Activities for children and families, cheese tasting, refreshments, and more will be available. A special bus service will depart from Annecy to make it easier for you to get there.

Batch by category

For individual races, the first men and women in each category will be rewarded. Category winners must present themselves at the Info Point (at the entrance to MaXi-Village), during opening hours, at the earliest 1 hour after their arrival (due to staggered wave starts) and with proof of their ranking in order to collect their prize.
