Around the Lake Relay Race for 2 to 3 People
Sharing a moment together
New for 2027, the relay race will be run exclusively in teams of 2 or 3 people. Each relay runner will have a completely different course in terms of distance and elevation gain, making it possible to form a team with runners of different profiles.
We'd like to make you aware of the historic difficulty of the tOur du lac course!
It's important to be aware that without specific and adequate training, it will be difficult to complete your relay and finish the TOur du Lac as a team.
It's up to you to be tactical and place the right runner on the right section of the Race !
There will be time barriers calculated for the solo tOur of the lake, making them easier for you! But be careful, you'll still have to run!
Once again this year, the Tour du Lac will follow a clockwise route.
The first mountain to climb will therefore be the Massif du Veyrier; the routes will be adapted to accommodate the fact that we’ll be passing through it at night and during the early stages of the race. For most of you, the sunrise will be viewed from a spot with a magical panoramic view. A few kilometers from the finish line, just before the last aid station, you’ll enjoy a 360° view, followed by a descent to the lakeshore to reach the finish line.

- Registration is done by a team captain, who can then manage the team interface and the names of the relay team members.
- Race s can be held with 2 or 3 teams, but there is only one ranking.
- Relay handoffs may only take place at the Doussard and Semnoz field camps.
- On site, the relay zone will be marked.
- The runner who has just finished his relay may access the refreshment area before changing, but other relay runners may not.
- Accompanying staff and other relay runners will not be allowed to "enter" the "covered" area (gymnasium or marquee) where refreshments are taken.
- If one of the relay runners withdraws or is stopped by the time cut-off, the next runner(s) will not be allowed to start their leg of the relay. The team will be considered to have “withdrawn.”
- If you're running the relay as a two-person team, you can divide the three sections among yourselves however you like.
Access to relay and bus zones
- Along the Tour du Lac route, there are three “light” aid stations where spectators and support personnel are not allowed. There will also be two “base camps” (Doussard and Station du Semnoz) where spectators and support personnel are permitted.
- To reach the base camps, which serve as relay points, we recommend traveling by MaXi-Car (see https://www.maxi-race.org/mobilite/) or by bike.
- In the Semnoz relay area, there will be activities for children and families, cheese tasting, a refreshment bar, and more.

- No Bib will be issued on the day of the Race.
- Bib 's withdrawal takes place the day before the " Race " (Friday, May 28)

Bib recovery: how does it work?
To limit overcrowding and large gatherings, we have set up time slots for picking up “ Bibs ” (reservations can be made from April 23 to May 21).
We have allocated 30% more slots than the number of registrants to give you greater flexibility in choosing your time slot.
Please note the following information:
- For each Race, several slots are available with limited numbers of places, so the earlier you make your choice, the more possibilities you'll have.
- As long as a time slot is displayed, it means there are still spots available. Once you’ve made your selection, REMEMBER TO SUBMIT (at the bottom of the form)!!! Otherwise, your selection won’t be saved!!!
- Once you've made a choice, you can change it before the response deadline (May 21).
- Because of the possibility of changing slots, it is possible that a full slot will be reopened, but the organization has no visibility on this.
PLEASE NOTE: You will not be able to access the gym where race Bibs are picked up Bibs a stroller, as there are stairs.
