THE Marathon-experience

An original route

Not everyone is lucky enough to be able to train in the mountains, so taking on a trail race with steep climbs can sometimes be a bit scary. That's why the marathon-eXperience was born, to allow everyone to come and get some mountain eXperience. No minimum level is required, but a good dose of motivation will get you to the finish line!

 

But don't forget, you have to train, run on the flats and downhills to pass the time barriers, it's still a Race.

The marathon-eXperience will cover a distance of 40 km, starting and finishing in Annecy, and will take in an iconic viewpoint at an altitude of over 1,500 m at the summit of the Semnoz. The route will be a loop to limit the number of bus and car journeys.

The “SAS values” will be provided for informational purposes only after registration closes; some variations may occur. Additionally, the SAS categories were established on October 31 based on your Betrail performance index at that time. It is not possible to change your SAS category, even if your Betrail index has increased or decreased since that date.
 
The SAS will open 20 minutes before the SAS departure time.

Your Race time will start when you cross the start line.
Time barriers are calculated from the start time of the last wave.
Failure to respect the SAS and/or start wave will result in sanctions, including disqualification from the Race as indicated in the regulations.

The split times table will be available in late September.

  • No Bib will be issued on the day of the Race.
  • Bib 's withdrawal takes place the day before the " Race " (Saturday, May 29)
  • One month before the Race, you must reserve your time slot on your personal space.
  • Collection point: MaXi-Village in the Marquisats parking lot (Annecy)

  • You must pick up your Bib person, along with all required documentation, during your assigned time slot.
    • An email confirming your Bibs pickup, Bibs your Bib time, your Bib number Bib the note “Application Approved: YES.”

Bib recovery: how does it work?

To limit overcrowding and large gatherings, we have set up time slots for picking up “ Bibs ” (reservations can be made from April 23 to May 21).
We have allocated 30% more slots than the number of registrants to give you greater flexibility in choosing your time slot.

Please note the following information:

  • For each Race, several slots are available with limited numbers of places, so the earlier you make your choice, the more possibilities you'll have.
  • As long as a time slot is displayed, it means there are still spots available. Once you’ve made your selection, REMEMBER TO SUBMIT (at the bottom of the form)!!! Otherwise, your selection won’t be saved!!!
  • Once you've made a choice, you can change it before the response deadline (May 21).
  • Because of the possibility of changing slots, it is possible that a full slot will be reopened, but the organization has no visibility on this.

 

PLEASE NOTE: You will not be able to access the gym where race Bibs are picked up Bibs a stroller, as there are stairs.

  • For the Semnoz “base camp” area, chaperones and assistants can get there by bus (an option that can be selected through the online store or on-site) or by their own means (bike, car, or other).
  • Activities for children and families, cheese tasting, refreshments, and more will be available. A special bus service will depart from Annecy to make it easier for you to get there.
